HOW TO PUT GAMESHARK CODES ON ePSXe (ANDROID VERSION)

REQUIREMENTS:

- Android version 2.2 and up;

- ePSXe.

      Yes, we have newer console video games, better computers and tablets... But some people still like to play some PSX games, like Final Fantasy Series, Chrono Cross, Metal Gear, etc. The point is that now we can enjoy those classic games on our Android based cellphones using the well-known ePSXe, one of the best PSX emulator. You can buy it from the Google Play.
      In this post, I'll explain how to put gameshark codes on ePSXe. There are two ways to do that, so let's see both of them.


NOTE: You can use Game Guardian to modify values on the emulated games too. If you don't know what I'm talking about, I suggest reading my post about HOW TO HACK SIMPLE GAMES ON ANDROID.

FIRST WAY

1. Assuming that you already have the app installed on the phone, open it and run the game.

2. Make sure you have access to the Internet, press the menu button of your device and choose 'Cheat Codes'. 

3. If it's empty, ePSXe will ask if you want to download the gameshark codes. Simply wait until download is done, and you can check the codes!

4. However, sometimes not all the codes work. Because of that, you need to know the second way to put codes.

SECOND WAY

1. Open ePSXe and tap 'Run Game'.

2. On the 'List of Games' screen, pay attention on the 3rd line of your ROM. There should be something like Sxxx-xxxxx, so take note of it and close the app. In my example, it's SCUS-94163. 

3. Open your favourite Text Editor and create a .txt file with this format:

Sxxx-xxx.xx.txt

So my file name is SCUS-941.63.txt

4. Now open the file and put the codes, following this format:

#Description

AAAAAAAA XXXX

YYYYYYYY ZZZZ

In my case:

#1st character Limit Bar Always Full

800F5E6A 00FF

5. After writing all the codes you want, save the file and put it on 'cheats' folder, inside ePSXe folder (it's usually located at /sdcard/epsxe/cheat/).

6. Finally, open ePSXe, run the game and tap 'Cheat Codes' from the menu. You made it! All your codes should be there!! Just remember that it's not recommended to save your game with certain gameshark code activated, because it may crash your game.

HOW TO HACK SIMPLE GAMES ON ANDROID

REQUIREMENTS:

- Android version 2.2 and up;

- Your device MUST BE ROOTED;

- GameGuardian.

1. First of all, download and install the app that will do all the work, which is called GameGuardian.

You can download it from the OFFICIAL FORUM. With this app, you can modify values from the game (e.g. money, life points, magic points). The instruction on this post works on simple android games, not Multiplayer games. The JP CHEATS won't take any responsibility if your account is banned.

2. After installed, open it and the game you want to cheat.

3. Let's say that you have 12345 coins, gil, golds, whatever, in the game. Open GameGuardian tapping it's logo (it should be on the middle of your device screen, you can set its location after, if you want).

4. Tap the 'Search' button and input the value (in our example, 12345), then tap 'Search' again.

The app should return a few results. If it returned only one value, skip to step 7. If not, continue reading.

5. Now buy or sell something in the game, so that the money can be modified. In our example, I will buy something that costs 100 coins, so my new money value will be 12245.

6. Then, tap the app's logo and search for the new value. Again, it should return some results.

If you still have too many results, repeat the process 5 and 6 until you get only one or three results.

7. Now that you have only few results, let's modify them. Tap on the result and rename it, whatever you want. After that, tap the 'Floppy' tab above, then tap the value you just have renamed. Change the Number to the value you want (I don't recommend values too high, like 999999999999, it might crash your game, so try to input reasonable values) and tap the save button.

8. That's it! Now press the back button and enjoy your game!!
